- Ben and I met almost 12 years ago. We dated for 3 1/2 years, fell in love at some point and then got married in the Las Vegas temple! We've been married for 8 years now and have two amazing kids with #3 on the way! I'm currently taking yet another break from school and working as a server in St. George. Ben is just busy being a teacher! Life for us right now is good!

- January 11, 2012... Hiley has preschool at 9:30, it's about 12 mintues away. We're usually out the door at 9:25! Let's be honest, most mornings, I myself, am not ready. Anyway, on this particular morning, I was not ready. As I was dropping Hiley off, I go to get out of the car to help her. The conversation goes like this... H: Mom, don't get out of the car Me: Why? H: Are you going to go home and shower before you come back? Me: (cracking up!) Crap! Is this starting already? Yes, Hiley I will go home and shower...maybe! Haha. She cracks me up!
- June 16th, 2011... We're driving and Benson says "Mom, Jesus made everything, huh? He made the Wal-mart, the bugs, the animals, the grass..." He is cracking me up with his Jesus questions right now but this one I had to write down! Love how he includes Walmart first.
- October 27th, 2010... Benson is putting his spiderman costume on and says: Mom, why does this have boobs??! Me: What? It doesn't have boobs. Benson: Yes huh! Look! Me: No, those aren't boobs! Those are Spidermans muscles! Benson: Oh, ok!!
- October 2010... Ben is fixing Hiley in bed late one night and whispers to her, "Hiley, your breath stinks." She opens one eye and says, " No, yours does!" Too funny!!
- October 23, 2010... Ben takes the kids to get an ice cream cone at Artic Cirle. While in the drive thru Hiley says matter-of-factly, " I should get a job here." :-)
- September 2010... Benson says: Mom, you like eat fresh? Me: Huh? What's that? Benson: You know, eat fresh! Me: No, Benson. What are you talking about? Benson: Look over there! The yellow sign. Me: Oh.... you mean Subway? Benson: Ya, Subway, eat fresh! Benson you are watching wayyyy too much T.V. :-)
- June 25, 2010... Benson: Mom, remember when it said on the movie "there's a catepillar in my shoe?" Me: No, I don't remember that part? Benson: Yes, huh? The one we saw today... Me: Oh, you must mean "there's a snake in my boot?" Benson: Ya that's it!! :-D
- June 1, 2010... Benson calls glitter "glibber". Too funny!
- May 29, 2010... Hiley and Benson were arguing over something in the backseat. I'm not sure what Benson was about to do but all we hear is Hiley saying: "Do it, see what happens!" hahaha!
- February 1, 2010... Hiley was combing my hair this afternoon. While she was combing it she said, "Mom, you look like an orphan!" Hhmmm, where has she heard that before? :)
- January 2010... Benson: Mom, why is it raining? Me: I'm not sure? Benson: I don't want it to be rain-day, I want it to be Sun-day!!
- September 2009... Hiley is 90% potty-trained! Yahoo. We still struggle with nights but I can handle that!
- August 2009... After I gave Benson a haircut he said to me, "Mom, am I handsome or am I not?"
- December 2008... While at my parents house for Christmas we had quite a few "grandma's" around. I think that sometimes its a little hard for Benson to decifer which is which. Anyway, my grandma was there and he calls her his "white grandma" because she, well, has white hair. One afternoon, he was playing with her and Hiley and Benson said, "Go on Hiley, go play with "black grandma"! We were all like what the heck?? Well, it turned out that he was referring to my mom who has really dark hair! We were laughing so hard!! I was very impressed though by his own little clever way of distingishing between his many grandma's!
- October 30th, 2008... Benson says: Tigger and the Foo; Meaning: Tigger and Pooh. Benson says: Ouch my mose; Meaning: Ouch, my nose. Benson says: I pooped and I farted; meaning: I "sharted". Benson says: Pee in the Pan; Meaning: Peter Pan.
- September 24, 2008... We're getting into the car this afternoon and Hiley is being sassy, as always, so Benson says to her "You drive me nuts, kid"!! Hhhmm, I wonder where he's heard that before! ;)
- April 30, 2008... One day after Hiley turns one, we officially have a walker!! I can't believe it. She is still so tiny but looks soooo cute!! :) I can't believe it!
- April 15, 2008.... Benson FINALLY goes pee in the potty!!! Hurray! I bought him a little seat to go on the big seat and he loves it. I'm so thrilled. We've been working on this for at least 6 months. We'll have to see if it sticks now!! Stay tuned to find out!
- March 3, 2008.... We are all grocery shopping at Walmart today and Benson is just sitting in the cart. We have this little game we play.... I say "Benson" and he says "What" and I say "Whatcha doin'?" and then he usually says something I can't understand but today in response to this question he says.... "Just hanging out"!!! Not expecting that one! :)
- February 3, 2008.... I walk into Hiley's room to find she has pullen herself up onto the side of the crib. Ah, this is new to me!! She has totally started to pull herself up onto things now.
- Sometime in January... Benson tries to say the word "sucker" however his S's are a little like F's so we're in Pizza Factory where they have a nice little sucker display and to my absolute horror, Benson sees it and starts yelling for a "F*&^%$"! Nice.
- January 31, 2008... Benson tries to say the word "testicle" and I laugh until I cry! Oh man, he's getting so big!!
